Matthew Hummel, PE - Principal
Matt is a seasoned structural engineer with over 20 years of experience in the design, coordination, and execution of complex infrastructure and building projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cornell University, where he developed a strong foundation in structural analysis, construction methods, and materials science.
Matt began his career with Acrow Bridge, designing and providing technical field support for temporary steel bridge and shoring systems across the United States and internationally. In 2005, he became the Northeast Regional Engineering Manager for a global formwork manufacturer, where he led the development and oversight of engineered formwork and concrete solutions. During this time, he also served as operations manager for the company’s largest and most high-profile project—One World Trade Center in New York City.
In 2014, Matt joined Lendlease, ultimately serving as Chief Engineer for the Americas Region. In this role, he provided in-house technical leadership across Development, Design/Build, and Construction Management teams, guiding the safe and efficient delivery of superstructure designs. He played a key role in some of the most complex high-rise and urban building projects in the U.S. and Mexico.
